Hello everyone!
Earlier today, Fandom released a minor design update to the VisualEditor, both the Visual Mode and the Source Mode (aka 2017 editor), to help simplify it and make it more intuitive. I recommend reading this blog for detailed information, but here are the short details.
Renamed some of the tools (e.g. "paragraph" is now "normal text")
Shuffled some icons around (e.g. the back and forward arrow buttons are now located on the far left rather than the middle)
Hid some less-essential tools from view to make the initial editor view less overwhelming in all its glory (the tools are still accessible in dropdown menus)
For the 2017 source mode: we removed the options available from the menu icon (those three stacked horizontal bars) -- If you want those back, you can customize your toolbar to access them from there)
For the 2017 source mode: we used the menu icon to replace the gear icon
The blog has some helpful pictures as well. And a reminder that you can switch your preferred editor in Special:Preferences ^^ Let me know if you have any comments, concerns, or constructive feedback! Happy editing! :D
Hi guys! Wanted to quickly inform you about notifications being wonky again. They're apparently not ready for the new year either.
Yesterday, older notifications were missing and users were unable to click on them. Fortunately, new notifications are now going through. The bell icon is showing the wrong count until user gets a new notifications. Users still have no access to notifications that happened during the incident plus older notifications until a complete fix (which is being worked on). "Mark all as read" is still be wonky as well.
Thank you again for your patience as we look into this issue. With that being said, since I cannot see older messages from my holiday break, I'm afraid I am missing some so feel free to ping me again if I have not responded to your message! I will also be going through my message walls again to see if I missed any pokes there.
As always, feel free to reach out on Discord (vector_sigma) if needed since I'm permanently online :) Hope you guys had a great holiday season!
Anyone have a list of all major locations in the south? cant find a list of all in one place. :)
Hi guys! Just wanted to give you all a quick update.
As some of you may have learned, notifications were broken from approximately 5 pm EST to 5 am earlier today. Web-notifications weren't be sent out properly, and then they weren't being removed afterwards. I'm happy to say that the issue is now resolved ^^ Thank you for your patience.
If any of you pinged me last night, feel free to poke me again! I'll be going through my message walls and checking manually. I was a bit busy extinguishing fires in Community Central last night (and it's finals week for me, rip).
As always, feel free to reach out on Discord (vector_sigma) if needed since I'm permanently online :)
Is this wiki like... dead? I don't see any of the administrators being active or something like that... seems kind of unusual not gonna lie.
Hi guys! Got another short update for you guys.
The Thanks extension is now available for all wikis after several months of testing. You may have seen this on other wikis, but this will allow users to "thank" individual edits by other users by clicking the (thank) button next to each individual edit. Users will receive a notification that you thanked their edit. It's basically a quick way to provide encouragement for edits.
You can disable these notifications in your preferences. Admins can enable/disable the extension on the Admin Dashboard, just like message walls and blogs. You can view all the logs for Thanks under Special:Log/thanks.
I recommend checking out the help page and blog if you want to learn more ^^
Hi guys!
Just wanted to quickly share that the reported notifications feature is now live on all wikis! It is currently being rolled out so it may take a few hours for it to appear for everyone, but it is live!
What is this? Once enabled, every administrator and thread moderator will receive notifications if there are any reported discussion posts, message walls, or article comments. This is on a per-wiki basis, so you might have to toggle this if you're a mod on numerous wikis. It will only be one notification per wiki, even if there are multiple reports.
To enable/disable it, please go to your Preferences -> Notifications -> Web notifications for moderators.
I recommend checking out this blog post for additional information.
If you have any questions or bug reports, let me know! :D
Was Psy-Storm ever in the official stalker builds/documents? Because one page on the wiki with its description seems to be a description close to the Psy-storm. Any answers?

Hello everyone!
I'm sure most of you have noticed the little site notice appearing on the wiki about the MediaWiki 1.39 update. I just wanted to give a little bit more information about it.
What's being updated? Mostly coding underneath the hood. There will be no major design changes. Consider it like replacing the battery of a car - the car will still be the same outwardly, but it just needs some updates underneath.
All Fandom wikis will be updating to MediaWiki 1.39 in the coming month. I don't have an exact timeline at this moment, but expect it to happen in mid-March or April. During the migration to 1.39, the wikis will be set in read-only mode. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes (major wikis could need more hours). One week before migration, a banner will appear on communities to let you know the migration is scheduled. For one week after the migration, a similar banner to let users know the community is now on the new version.
Most importantly, if you experience any bugs after the move, please either report them to the admins (who will then forward them to me) or directly to me either on my message wall or Discord. We've done our best to squash and take note of any bugs in our testing phase, but any additional pokes would be greatly appreciated!
Please check out the help page on Community Central for a changelog and further information. ^^
Hello. I was simply wondering if there is any confirmed result or any result that was alluded to or can be determined by comparing Clear Sky and Shadow of Chernobyl regarding the Faction Wars and if Scar sided with any faction.
The closest i could determine is possibly siding with the Loners vs Bandits due to the Loners having a significant presence in the Garbage in SoC. Issues with this are that the Bandits aren't completely wiped out, major characters are confirmed to be alive past Clear Sky such as Yoga and Borov, and there's no real mention of this event actually occurring.
Perhaps Scar didn't participate in any faction war at all besides the obvious Clear Sky vs Renegades. Any thoughts?
If you are using English, you can switch to French, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian.
If you are using Russian or Ukrainain, you can switch to Belarusian, English, Polish, and Russian/Ukrainian.
If you are using Polish, however, you can switch to Belarusian, German, English, Spanish, French, Russian, and Ukrainian
Spanish, German, and French only let you switch to English, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainain.
Using Belarusian, your only options are Russian and Ukrainian.
I think this complicated way of choosing the language for pages might be an issue.
There doesn't seem to be an in-game resource to various crafting recipes besides going to a vice and paying 1000r. I've started copying down some of the recipes by hand because I haven't found an online resource yet (I raided a faction base to use a vice w/o time restrictions lol). I picked up stalker only recently so I'm still figuring a few things out as of now. Any pointers or tips would be greatly appericated.
So I'm doing another playthrough as a monolith because it seemed interesting but I've gotten stuck on the mission from Oliver to find the scouting party in Jupiter RF signal 39 and I can't find the beeping or anything else.
What if the Snorks are more resistant to radiation, so that's the reason they're at CNPP?
I did the quest objective and killed all the duty people but the quest wont progress, wat do?
Also i cannot reload a previous save
