Considering the impending release of Stalker 2, as well as the recent console ports, we should discuss whether we should update the spelling. This would mean going through every article and reworking the spelling so that it would match the Ukrainian, rather than the original Russian.

Example: Agroprom > Ahroprom, Pripyat > Prypiat, Yanov > Yaniv etc.

My personal opinion is that unless the trilogy is changed on Steam/GOG and other distribution fronts, it'd be less confusing to have the old spelling and use redirects judiciously.

Good point. But it appears that GSC has chosen to not touch the original trilogy (not even the original voice work in the console ports to remove the Russian VO)

On that note, I am concerned about the clutter in the wiki. There is a lot of lore in the original trilogy. Stalker 2 will introduce even more. There are a ton of recurring characters, returning locations, and a ton of events happening there, at least from the information that is available in the leaked build and design documents. There will be a need to rewrite a lot of the articles.

Well, that's a target rich environment to me! Honestly, if we could wrangle up a couple of reliable editors - not "of course I'll help" then proceeds to disappear - having a team would go a long way towards fixing it up. I refined my writing style and referencing over the years, so I can help tremendously. :)

I agree, that's what made me ragequit a lot of things previously. Have a person here or there helping a bit, then contact breaks for some reason, and 'poof!' left alone with heaps of work.

I do not see there being a consistent team, honestly. Not like the Russian wiki which has its 400-member Discord and at least 10 editors active at all times.
