The "Freedom" exoskeleton is a unique variant of the Exoskeleton featured in all three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It is available to the player only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.
Overview[]
The "Freedom" exoskeleton is the only faction-specific variant of the Exoskeleton that is available to the player. It appears in all three games where it is worn by the highest-ranking members of Freedom, such as Kostyan and Kremen. Though visually identical to the ordinary Exoskeleton, it has been repainted with Freedom's camo pattern and yellow colors on the helmet, mask filters, external frame and the armored vest.

Clear Sky[]
The "Freedom" exoskeleton is a unique type of Exoskeleton with the weight lowered by ten kilograms and durability increased through the replacement of some metal parts with carbon fiber. However, the weight capacity boost provided by the armor is halved to +20 kg. The "Freedom" exoskeleton also has lower anomaly protection out of the box, but can be upgraded to have better protection than the regular Exoskeleton. It also has two built-in artifact containers rather than one, but can only be upgraded to have an additional containers instead of two, meaning both armors will have the same number of containers after upgrades.
If compared in terms of combat protection to the 12 kg Bulat armored suit, the Freedom Exoskeleton is superior by far. However, it is arguable if it's the best overall suit for combat protection and mobility in Clear Sky as running is still not possible.
Acquisition[]
This modified exoskeleton can be acquired as a reward by finishing the Freedom faction war which requires the player to destroy the Duty base in the Agroprom. Ashot will also have it on sale if the player joins Freedom and the paths between the Dark Valley and the Garbage are under Freedom's control.

Color-coded upgrades are mutually exclusive.
