5.45x39mm 7N10 FMJ is a type of rifle ammunition featured in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.

General characteristics[]

The 5.45x39mm 7N10 PP is a full metal jacketed semi-armor piercing ball round with a hardened steel penetrator post in its core and a hollow tip. It has a larger penetrator than the earlier 5.45mm 7N6.

5.45x39mm rounds have a significantly higher penetration rating than all of the pistol rounds, including the .45ACP Hydroshock. It has roughly the same handling characteristics as standard .45ACP.

The FMJ is the standard 5.45x39mm round in all games, therefore making it very common as most factions use the AKM-74/2 and other 5.45 assault rifles.

The 5.45x39 FMJ is used by the AKM-74/2, AKM-74/2U and the AC-96/2. As well, the "Tunder" 5.45 is able to fire these rounds. In S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, the player can modify the Tunder S14 and the SGI-5k to fire 5.45 rounds, and in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, the same upgrade can be applied to the IL 86.

Shadow of Chernobyl[]

A standard round for the Akm 74/2, the Akm 74/2U and the Obokan assault rifles. It has a standard core and a full-jacketed bullet.
