7.62x54mm 7N14 is a type of sniper ammunition featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

Description[]

Compared to the 7.62x54mm 7H1 cartridge, the 7N14 features higher penetration power. The ammunition is found in boxes of 10 rounds in Shadow of Chernobyl, and boxes of 30 rounds in Clear Sky.

Weapon Compatibility[]

Appearances[]

Shadow of Chernobyl[]

A sniper round for the SVDm 2 and the SVUmk2 sniper rifles. It has an improved accuracy and range.
― In-game description

In Shadow of Chernobyl, 7N14 rounds are all-around better than 7N1 rounds. They feature higher effective range, accuracy, stopping power and penetration capability, although they cause the weapon to degrade 25% faster.

Locations[]

These bullets are very rare as they are not sold by any trader, or carried by any NPC. Several boxes of these bullets are randomly spawned in boxes located in Yantar, Lab X-16, Army Warehouses, Pripyat, in the Sarcophagus, inside of the Monolith Control Center, and on the rooftops of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. A single stash - Secret stash on the tower in the Bar area - contains 10 these rounds.

Clear Sky[]

7.62-caliber high precision armor-piercing sniper round. Used with the SVDm 2 and SVUmk2 sniper rifles
― In-game description

Though functionally different, 7N14 rounds are labeled as 7.62x54mm 7N1 rounds in the menu, and both types of bullets share the same icon, description and statistics. The only ways to distinguish the two types of ammunition are by the different ammunition boxes and the price. Normal 7N1 rounds have a 450 RU price tag in the menu, while 7N14 rounds have a 1000 RU price tag. As well, much like 7.62x54mm BP rounds, the 7N14 rounds generate a small 'explosion' on impact.

Locations[]

These bullets are not carried by any NPC; they can only be purchased from the Mine Trader in the Red Forest.

  • A box of 30 rounds must be retrieved from the body of a dead stalker in the Army Warehouses, atop an irradiated tower in the military base, as part of a side mission provided by stalkers in the area.
  • Two boxes can be found in the armory of the military base in the same location.
  • Some boxes can be found in the Agroprom Underground, not far from the entrance to Strelok's hideout. It is atop a damaged air conditioning ventilation duct, on the right side of the long hall where the entrance to the hideout is.
