The 8x scope is a special PSO-1 scope available in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

This item must be returned to a Freedom squad leader in the Dark Valley as part of the mission Return the 8x scope. This scope provies a x8 zoom akin to the Gauss rifle. The scope used to belong to a stalker who left with a patrol and didn't return. The scope itself is near an anomaly to the southern part of the map.
The scope can't be used by the player's character on any of the weapons. It is purely a mission item.
