9x18mm +P+ is a type of ammunition featured in all three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

General characteristics[]

The 9x18mm cartridge is very common and cheap and readily available from most traders. The +P+ munitions have an overpressurized cartridge alowing for higher muzzle velocity. Due to the slug's weak integrity, they are not very effective against armored targets, but they deal just under twice as much damage in these cases compared to standard 9x18mm FMJ.

The 9x18mm +P+ is compatible with all 9x18mm weapons, including the PMm, the Fora-12, the Noiseless Pistol (PB1s) and the unique Viper 5 9x18.

Shadow of Chernobyl[]

A round with improved ballistic characteristics for the PMm, the PB1s and the Fort-12Mk2 pistols. Due to the high initial velocity of its bullet, it is much more effective then[sic] a standard round. It has a better armor-piercing effect.

Call of Pripyat[]

This round contains a bullet with enhanced stopping power, while its European +P+ designation indicates "overpressure ammunition" with a 30% increase in muzzle velocity. Ineffective against body armor.
