Compatible Weapons[]
Appearances[]
Shadow of Chernobyl[]
A standard round for the Walker P9m pistol and the Viper 5 submachine gun. It has a full-jacketed bullet with a weak armor-piercing effect.
― In-game description
Much like 9x18mm ammunition, it is overall extremely ineffective against armored targets, with the damage severely reduced.
Locations[]
- 100 rounds of 9x19mm FMJ can be found behind a wooden box in the traincar at the other end of the train depot in Garbage.
- 80 rounds can be found in the Bandit base armoury in the Dark Valley.
- Grizzly's things x16 (Loaded in Walker P9m)
- Old crane x30 (Loaded in Viper 5)
- Secret stash in the car x16 (Loaded in Walker P9m)
Clear Sky[]
Basic FMJ 9x19 mm round. Ineffective against armored targets. Suitable for the Walker P9m, HPSS-1m and Martha pistols, as well as the Viper 5 submachine gun.
― In-game description
9x19mm FMJ returns in Clear Sky. The PMm and Fora-12 can now be upgraded to use this ammunition type instead of the stock 9x18mm.
Locations[]
- Available from traders.
- Found in various stashes.
- Carried by NPCs using 9x19mm weapons.
Call of Pripyat[]
This basic 9x19 caliber round with a jacketed bullet has good characteristics while being simple to produce. The round is popular due to the fact that international conventions prohibit the use of expanding ammunition in combat. Ineffective against body armor.
― In-game description
In Call of Pripyat, 9x19 FMJ rounds have unusually high velocity - combined with their low air resistance, their effective range is vastly improved compared to previous games, making them vastly preferable to 9x18mm weapons, and even on par with .45ACP until the player can acquire .45 ACP Hydroshock rounds. Both the Fort-12 and the PMm can be upgraded to use this ammunition.
Locations[]
- Available from Owl and Hawaiian.
- Found in various stashes.
- Carried by NPCs using 9x19mm weapons.
- Can be requested from Lieutenant Kirillov, who will give 100 rounds alongside 50 rounds of 9x19mm PB1s.
Trivia[]
- The text on the side of the box lists the Browning HPSA, Walther P99, Sig Sauer P220, GSh-18, MP-5 and Bizon, indicating the weapons chambered for it.
- Although the P220 is listed, the in-game version (SIP-t M200) only accepts .45 ACP ammunition.
- The GSh-18 is one of the weapons that was cut during development of Shadow of Chernobyl.
