9x19mm JHP, also known as 9x19mm PB1s in Shadow of Chernobyl and 9x19mmm PBP in Clear Sky, is an ammunition type featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
General characteristics[]
The 9x19mm PB1s is a special, "hot-load" version of 9x19mm rounds with a hardened steel core.
In-game, PB1s rounds are highly lethal against unarmored and lightly-armored enemies like most mutants, and rookie stalkers. However, they are very unreliable against stalkers wearing medium and heavy armor and against powerful mutants, like the Pseudogiant and the Chimera.
Compatible Weapons[]
Appearances[]
Shadow of Chernobyl[]
An improved round for the Walker P9m and the Viper 5 submachine gun. A high-powered round with a hollow-point bullet and an armor-piercing core.
― In-game description
In Shadow of Chernobyl, 9x19mm PB1s offers greater penetration and stopping power than the standard 9x19mm ammunition, although it causes weapons to degrade 15% faster.
Locations[]
The 9x19mm PB1s can be found in the following locations:
- Grizzly's things x40
- Secret stash in the car x60
- Chest x60
- Two wooden boxes on top of the watchtower at the entrance of the Vehicle graveyard in the Garbage contain more than 1000 rounds in total.
Clear Sky[]
A powerful 9x19 mm round with a hollow point bullet. Ineffective against armored targets. Suitable for the Walker P9m, HPSS-1m and Martha pistols, as well as the Viper 5 submachine gun.
― In-game description
In Clear Sky, 9x19mm PBP offers a 10% increase in stopping power compared to standard 9x19mm ammunition.
Locations[]
9x19mm PBP rounds are almost virtually non-existent since no traders have them in their inventory. The only way to obtain them is through finding it in stashes. Certain Clear Sky members (those wearing exoskeletons and using SPSA-14s alongside the Martha) have them in their inventory.
Call of Pripyat[]
This 9x19 caliber jacketed hollow point bullet with an expanding hollow provides high stopping power and low ricochet propensity. Used by police and for self-defense. Ineffective against body armor due to its low penetration potential.
― In-game description
In Call of Pripyat, 9x19mm JHP rounds have a 50% increase in stopping power compared to 9x19mm FMJ ammunition, although it remains equally ineffective against armored enemies.
Locations[]
Owl will sell these rounds early in the game, and they can also be bought from Hawaiian. The player can also periodically request 9x19mm ammunition from Lieutenant Kirillov, who will give 50 rounds alongside 100 rounds of 9x19mm FMJ ammunition.
Some JHP rounds can be found in the basement of the Waste processing station. It can also be found in various stashes.
