A silent version of the AC96/2. The weapon has a craftily silencer-extended barrel, which increases accuracy, while still retaining all the advantages of an assault rifle. Uses 5.45x39 mm ammo.

The AC96sl is a variant of the AC96/2 that was cut from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

This special variant of the AC96/2 would use a special suppressed barrel, which would allow the weapon to fire more accurately while still being able to fire suppressed shots. The variant would be quite obsolete due to the ability to mount a silencer on the default AC96/2, however it would decrease accuracy rather than increasing it.
As with all other cut weapon variants of the game, the only remnants of this weapon are its name (st_wpn_abakan_m1) and description (st_wpn_abakan_m1_descr) found in the st_items_weapons.xml file.
According to design documents, it was meant to appear somewhere in the Dark Valley.
