Snag's AKM-74/2U is a weapon featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Overview

I doubt you've ever held this kinda shooter in your hands... An enhanced AKM-74/2U. I gave this Duty fella a ton of first aid kits to get my hands on this beauty. That was when Freedom pounded a Duty squad so bad that they actually ran out of meds. Three times this baby saved my life since then...
― Snag describing the weapon

A custom AKM-74/2U assault rifle owned by Snag. Though identical to the stock AKM-74/2U name and visual-wise, it comes with the tier 1 "Increased magazine capacity" upgrade pre-installed, with the following effects:

• Mag. size +10

The weapon shares the same upgrade tree as the stock AKM-74/2U, in addition of the pre-installed upgrade.

Acquisition

The weapon is owned by Snag, and is initially found inside the steel box at the bottom of the chasm near the Fuelling station in Zaton. There are two ways the player can obtain the weapon:

• At the end of the mission Unreachable Stash, the player may give the box back to Snag, who will allow the player to take two items out of five in the box. The player can select the AKM-74/2U as one of the items. Alternatively, one may bring the box to Cardan who will pry it open for 500 RU and allow the player to secure the entire contents of the box, Snag's AKM-74/2U included.
• If the player chose to split the loot with Snag but did not take the gun, it can be acquired again at the end of the mission Theft, where the weapon is in Snag's inventory. To retrieve it, the player may either kill Snag and loot the weapon from his body, or give him a first-aid kit and buy it off of him. Since he uses the rifle as his main weapon, if the player wants to obtain the weapon without killing Snag, they must either toss or sell him a higher-tier weapon then buy it off of him once the gun is holstered.
