"A Friend of Freedom" icon.
You have provided plenty of help to Freedom, and this has earned you the respect of Freedom fighters and their friends. But keep in mind that not everyone in the Zone is a Freedom fan.
A Friend of Freedom is an Achievement earned for maxing out one's reputation with Freedom in Call of Pripyat. It is one of the few achievements with both rewards and drawbacks.
Rewards
- Player is given a Wind of Freedom Suit in his Yanov locker.
- Hawaiian's prices drop, making him a useful trader.
- Nitro raises his prices dramatically.
- Duty units may become openly hostile to the player.
Earning the Achievement
Essentially, any of the quests that make you choose between Duty and Freedom are chances to build up your reputation with Freedom.
- Give Morgan's PDA to Loki.
- Ensure that Freedom holds the armory.
- Give General Tachenko's PDA to Loki.
- Encourage Rogue to join Freedom.
- Get Freedom to guard the Scientists bunker.
As well, doing the quest for Uncle Yar will give a small boost .Turning in Flint gives a boost not a drop as thought.
The negative effect (Nitro's price hike) can more or less be completely negated by completing the Cement Factory quest before one sides with Freedom. Duty squads won't be hostile if you haven't killed any Duty members.
