Degtyarev: I have some maps of the area between Zaton and Jupiter. Want to have a look?
Pilot: Let me see... Good, lots of detail. In our business details make the difference between life and death. All right! These maps indicate there's a safe route straight through between Skadovsk and Yanov. I'll copy the data to my PDA, if you don't mind. Now I can offer you a nice discount.

― Major Degtyarev giving the maps to Pilot

Area Maps is a side mission available in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Description[]

This mission is triggered immediately after completing Stingray 2: investigate the crash site. The player finds Stingray 2's navigational data mostly intact and must take it to someone who might be interested. After asking any of the random NPCs wandering around Zaton, they will eventually point the player to Pilot, aboard the Skadovsk.

Pilot will gladly make a copy of the data for himself, being a self-proclaimed navigator of the path between Zaton and Jupiter, and give the player a discount on travel between the areas.

Reward[]

The player will be given a permanent 2000 RU discount on each trip from Pilot. Trips from Pripyat to Zaton, Yanov to Zaton and vice versa will cost only 1000 RU instead of 3000, and trips from Zaton to Pripyat will cost 4000 instead of 6000.
