The Balance IL 86 is a unique variant of the IL 86 assault rifle featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Overview[]
The Balance IL 86 has slightly lower recoil than a standard IL 86 as well as higher reliability. Other than that, it performs no better than a stock model and doesn't weigh any less.
Acquisition[]
This weapon is carried by a stalker named Scarecrow, who usually can be found in the Wild Territory by the crash site, or on rare occasions, at the Crooked beam in the Army Warehouses. In order to retrieve the weapon, Scarecrow must be killed. Lukash provides a mission that requires his assassination "for mother Earth".
