Hic... damn it! Yes, I'm drunk, I'm drunk! They wanna...they... wanna kick me out of Duty if I fail this task too...you know? But I'm not...hic...not feeling too...hic...good at the moment...you know...
― Brome

Brome is a former member of Duty who appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Background[]

Member of the Duty faction, more often off the wagon than on it. The Duty gave him his last chance for redemption by carrying out a mission. However, he was too drunk to get himself together and pull it off[non-game. 1].

Brome was involved in a scouting operation in the Dark Valley, but he ran away when he heard howling, leaving his prized weapon (which was personally given to him by Voronin) behind. He fears that Duty will kick him out as a result of this incident, and has been drinking ever since then.

Appearances[]

Shadow of Chernobyl[]

Brome is one of the regular customers at the 100 Rads bar. He hands out a mission to recover his weapon, for which he will reward the player with a Slug artifact.

Related missions[]

Trivia[]

  • Though Brome talks about Duty wanting to kick him out, he is affiliated with the free stalkers in-game.
  • Brome never acknowledges his weapon being returned to him, and his dialogue when the player talks to him remains unchanged after his mission is completed.
  • He shares his appearance with the Warrant Officer.
