The subject of this article appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

If you're interested in gravitational artifacts, look for them in the Fang[sic] anomaly. The place is easy to spot - anomalies have done a job on the terrain, took half the hill clean off. A few caves opened up in the hill and were immediately settled by snorks. Thankfully, they rarely go outside.

The Claw anomaly is a location in Zaton in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Overview[]

The anomaly is located in a bizarre, twisted crater set near a network of caves functioning as a snork nest. The phenomenon behind the Claw also appears to be responsible for the massive chasm that destroyed parts of the nearby Fuelling station, creating the snork nest beneath it. All forms of gravitational anomalies can be encountered here including a Whirligig, which is not dangerous for the player as it is located several meters above the surface.

The deformed ground allows one to jump into some of the caverns, where one will find a Jellyfish artifact. The Stone Flower spawns here by default. Near the anomaly is a few rocks where random Loners or Bandits can be seen, or sometimes Zombified Stalkers.

Stashes[]

  • Stash containing two First-aid kits; in a bush next to the rocks where stalkers can be encountered.

Trivia[]

  • The Claw bears similarities to anomalies encountered in other games, such as the Symbiont in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.
  • It is referred to as Fang anomaly in dialogue by stalkers when asking about anomaly fields in Zaton.
