The Clicker is a type of anomaly appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Description[]

The Clicker is an invisible anomaly that covers a wide static area. It remains dormant until a living or inanimate object moves within its area. Upon sensing movement, the Clicker suddenly appears at a distance in the direction of the movement, approximately where the object would be if continuing to move until the Clicker finishes charging.

It first charges itself, forming a bright star. Upon finishing charging, it violently releases the stored energy in a blinding and deafening explosion with a loud crack. After a short cooldown period, it repeats this cycle if the object continues to move. The Clicker can do the said cycle for multiple moving objects in the field, with the cooldown being independent for each object.

The explosion deals a large amount of damage and blinds the player if caught in the blast radius. For most living beings, a single blast is enough to kill them, setting their corpse on fire. The damage is inversely proportional to the distance from the anomaly, dealing additional thermal damage.

Appearances[]

Heart of Chornobyl[]

The Clicker appears naturally but can also be artificially created by intentionally damaging an active Topaz scanner.

It does not spawn any artifacts, nor is it detectable with the Veles detector. However, it does react to thrown bolts.
