The Crashed helicopter is a location in the Wild Territory in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Overview[]
The crash site of a Mil Mi-24 Hind helicopter located in the northwestern part of the Wild Territory's playable area. The downed Mi-24 is surrounded by multiple Electro anomalies. The entrance to the Electro tunnel is located just south to the site.

According to dialogue, this helicopter was carrying Professor Kruglov and his associates when it was shot down over the Wild Territory by Wolfhound's mercenaries. By the time the Marked One arrives, the Professor is the sole survivor of the crash.
When visiting the Wild Territory for the first time, Kruglov will call over the Marked One for help and ask him to help him evacuate. Kruglov is being pinned at the crash site by Wolfhound's men. The player must then eliminate the attacking Mercenaries, which will prompt Wolfhound to appear in a nearby building. After eliminating him, the Marked One heads with Kruglov towards the Construction site.
After deactivating the emitter inside Lab X-16, the location may be visited by Loners. Among them will usually be Scarecrow, who is the target of an assassination mission given by Lukash. Mutants can also be frequently encountered in the area.
Loot[]
The dead Ecologists carry IL 86s and varying amounts of 5.56x45mm ammunition. The mercenary that shot down the helicopter also carries a RPG-7u.
