The Dock cranes are a location in Zaton in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Overview[]

The old dock of Zaton is comprised of a pair of cranes that were once used to load and unload ships, and a shack overlooking the central part of the swamp. Near the shack is an abandoned truck and a few containers with a nearby campfire used by stalkers.

Appearances[]

Call of Pripyat[]

When trying to look for Snag, the player will be redirected here where the Bandits have set up an ambush. In addition, the player is told to meet Grouse there to talk about the missing stalkers; this will lead the player to discover Danila's body outside the shack and catch the culprit inside the shack itself. The door to the shack will be locked until this stage of the mission Missing Stalkers.

After completing this mission, random Loners and Bandits may explore the area.

Stashes[]

  • Stash containing 180 rounds of 5.45x39mm FMJ; on top of the northernmost crane, between the cabin and the counterweight.
  • Stash containing a Martha and 150 rounds of 9x19mm FMJ; in the cabin of the truck.
  • Stash containing a IL 86 and 120 rounds of 5.56x45mm SS109; in the cabin of the old speedboat to the immediate southwest of the dock.

Trivia[]

  • The Dock cranes are based on the real-life Pripyat dock, which is located to the north of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Unlike the in-game docks, the Pripyat dock has four cranes.
