So listen, our rules are simple. First rule - it's forbidden to shoot on our territory. If you break the rule twice, our patrol will open fire on you. Even if you make a run for it, you won't appear on our territory again - our guards will make sure of that. If you act calmly, you won't have any problems.

The Duty base is a location in the Bar in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Overview[]

The headquarters of the Duty faction are located in the northeastern area of the Bar. The base is comprised of an underground area and an adjacent building. As the headquarters of Duty, the base is extensively patrolled by Duty stalkers. Voronin, the leader of Duty, is found in the underground area, while his right-hand man Petrenko resides in the adjacent surface building.

Appearances[]

Shadow of Chernobyl[]

The Duty base is guarded by a Duty squad led by Sergeant Plichko, who will initially refuse to allow the player through. Trespassing into the base will turn the entire Duty faction hostile, and cause Plichko and his men to open fire. It is not until the Documents from Lab X16 have been delivered that Barkeep will negotiate with Duty to allow the player through, allowing the player access to the base after a short dialogue with Plichko.

Voronin, who is found in the underground building, can provide the player with a number of side missions. Petrenko, who resides in the other building to the right, also has missions to offer and can trade with the player.

Call of Pripyat[]

The Duty base is briefly mentioned in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat in Zulu's good ending slide, confirming that the base is still under Duty control and Voronin is still alive as of the end of the trilogy.

Trivia[]

  • In the beta, the player was able to bribe Plichko with 1000 RU to gain access to the base. This was cut from the final release of the game, but the associated strings are still found in the game files.
