A Fault is a type of anomaly field featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Appearance

A Fault appears to be a Burner anomaly field, but features large cracks on the surface of the Earth. Temperatures are extremely high, especially within the cracks. Fault anomalies did not appear in Shadow of Chernobyl, they first appear in Clear Sky.

Clear Sky

To do.

Call of Pripyat

Two Faults appear in Zaton. The first is known as the Boiler anomaly. The Boiler features temperatures that are nearly as high as Burner fields, but instead of shooting up fire when activated, it shoots up steam of extreme temperatures. Effects are similar to Burner anomalies. The cracks are much deeper than a normal Fault, and their bases contain a boiling water. The second is known as the Circus anomaly, which features a normal Fault with the same artifacts as Boiler, but includes a Fire Poltergeist, and two moving fire anomalies going circles in opposite directions around the Fault. Third and last Fault is located in Pripyat, known as Volcano. It essentially is a large cluster of Burner anomalies in a crater in the middle of a basketball court.

Artifacts

Since Faults consist of Burner anomalies (Boiler anomaly also, however mixed with water giving steam), you'll find artifacts made by Burner anomalies in any Fault. Therefore, any of the following artifacts can spawn in a Fault.
