The Kamaz 53212 is a heavy duty diesel cab-over truck made by Kamskiy Avtomobilny Zavod in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan in the Russian Federation which production started in 1969, though its first final version was completed in 1976. KAMAZ is credited for being the largest truck producer in Russia.

In the zone, Kamaz trucks are found almost everywhere, though all of them are derelict, rusted down and some might have been stripped of their parts. They were most probably used by the military, the government and civilians before and during the containment of the Chernobyl incident .
