Pripyat Underground is a location that was supposed to appear in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

Overview[]

A secretive and mysterious place below the city of Pripyat; Pripyat Underground is full of communication systems, tunnels, laboratories, warehouses and huge factories, constructed by the Soviet Union to hide their secrets.

History[]

The cover story of a city just for the staff of the Chernobyl NPP worked well and very few are aware of just how many citizens worked in the sprawling underground. These underground facilities used to be a highly developed system, and the CNPP was just a cover for them. The entire location used to be under the supervision of the Defence Ministry of the Ukrainian SSR. At the point of the Chernobyl disaster, thousands of people were underground, mainly scientists and soldiers. Most of them died when the incident took place, while those that survived became mutated into wild beasts known as Morlocks, defying technology and energy that still worked, despite the incident[1].

Layout[]

The location was to be entered after the battle in Limansk, specifically, the PM-6 Underground Transit Hub together with the Object C-24 control center. There are many similarities with Jupiter Underground, however the bucket wheel excavator was relocated to the Quarry in Call of Pripyat.

Notes[]

The location was removed from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:Clear Sky but later added to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat[2]. Despite its removal Lebedev and other Clear Sky members still mention the location when leaving Limansk Hospital. Scar and Clear Sky used the Pripyat Underground to arrive at the Chernobyl NPP.
