The Fireball is a thermal anomaly appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

General Characteristics[]

The Fireball looks exactly like its name, a flying, semi-transparent ball of orange fire with a center of concentrated blue flames. When moving, it leaves temporary flames on any surface around it and in the air behind it. On contact, it explodes a glowing yellow liquid before combusting into flames and disappearing, before regenerating a few moments later.

It acts near-identical to the Lightning Ball anomaly; Absorbing dropped artifacts, chasing the player if they have an artifact equipped, and non-hostile to anything without an artifact. Any contact with this anomaly without thermal protection artifacts or thermal protection upgraded armor (exoskeletons and scientific suits notwithstanding), will kill the player instantly.

Appearances[]

Heart of Chornobyl[]

Fireballs show up in four locations currently: The Circus anomaly, Conflagration, East of the Swinery, and in-between Orbita Station and the Perimeter Dam.
