The Flame is a rare artifact featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Appearances[]

Clear Sky[]

This rare artifact forms in areas of high thermal activity. Emits powerful infrared emissions, which intensify metabolic processes, healing wounds before its bearer's very eyes. This artifact is extremely valuable, but emits radiation.
― In-game description

The Flame reduces bleeding by 60%, making bandages more or less redundant, and is only a +3 radiation artifact, meaning a Wrenched will contain all the radiation.

Acquisition[]

Found in Burner anomalies.

Leshiy gives this artifact as a reward if the player manages to keep three mercenaries alive while securing the bridge to Limansk.

Random friendly squad leaders in the Army Warehouses may provide a quest to retrieve a Flame from a house in the Bloodsucker village. The player may keep the artifact for themselves, although the reward for the mission is a rare and high-end GP37 assault rifle. Another one may spawn in a Burner anomaly field in the Army Warehouses, as well as in the Symbiont in the Red Forest near the Devilish encampment.

Call of Pripyat[]

This artifact forms in areas of high thermal activity. Produces powerful infrared emissions, which intensify metabolic processes, healing wounds before its bearer's very eyes. As this artifact is very rare, it is extremely valuable. Emits radiation.
― In-game description

The Flame returns in Call of Pripyat unchanged from its previous rendition. It is also part of Beard's artifact orders.

Acquisition[]

The Flame may be found in any thermal/heat anomaly fields; the Volcano in Pripyat spawns one by default.

Strelok will give the player a Flame if they bring him at least two of the notes found in Strelok's stashes.
