Foma (Фома) is a former Monolith stalker who appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Background[]
Foma is one of the ex-Monolith stalkers who somehow broke free of the influence that is controlling the Monolith and is led by Strider. They do not know what to do next and wishes to seek shelter before they are killed by the zone or by stalkers because of their Monolith uniforms.

Call of Pripyat[]
Gameplay-wise, Foma has no significant story-wise impact and is only there to guard the camp where the rest of the Monolith deserters are holding up. After he is recruited into a faction, he will move to Yanov station and after some time will start wandering around the area alongside his squadmates.

- Monolith survivors: The player must convince either Duty or Freedom to recruit Foma and his squad.
Heart of Chornobyl[]
Foma has no significant story-wise impact.

- Chasing Ghosts: After the player exits the basement in the Chasing Ghosts mission, Foma will begin shooting at the player with an SVDM-2 from the tower. After reaching the top of the tower, the player has the option to kill him, or spare him. He will die regardless of the player's choice, but if spared, will give dialogue choices and a monologue before dying. If he is spared, the player can choose to question him, revealing that Foma is responsible for activating the Scanner in the warehouse.
