The Hand radio is a an item appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

OverviewEdit

The Hand radio is a shortwave communications device commonly used by all factions and stalkers to communicate between each other.

AppearancesEdit

Shadow of ChernobylEdit

In Shadow of Chernobyl, the item can be found in the Dark Valley area, north of the Lab X-18 entrance building, in the same place where the player can find a guitar. There are two versions; one which looks like the player's head-mounted flash-light, but it is a radio. The other resembles a typical "walkie talkie." It is also worth nothing.

Call of PripyatEdit

In Call of Pripyat, the hand radio can only be found if placed in the inventory. When dropped, it looks similar to the scanner used by the scientists.

NotesEdit

  • In Shadow of Chernobyl the game refers to this item as "hand_radio".
    • Also contrary to what one would think, the inventory image is not an actual radio, but head torch.
  • In the small shelter by the entrance to the Freedom base a radio can be found on a table, but cannot be picked up.
