The Kindergarten is a location in Pripyat featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Shadow of Chernobyl[edit | edit source]

The Kindergarten is located in the south-eastern part of the map. It is where most Duty experts spawn in the city, just facing the Freedom faction spawn. During the first trip there, when the player is fighting their way through the city with a group of Loners experts, the player will come under attack from Monolith fighters from the Kindergarten.

The Kindergarten regularly has a Controller spawning in the building, as well as Duty experts around it. Loot in the area includes a PSZ-9d suit atop a locker in the ground floor, and the Old secret stash containing a Gravi and a Flame Battery can be found in a room on the top floor.

Call of Pripyat[edit | edit source]

Call of Pripyat features a different Kindergarten. Located in the southern part of the map, it is where the mission Radio interference mission takes place, where the player must destroy a Monolith radio jammer located inside the building, and later rescue Lieutenant Rogovets. The building is initially locked, although the player will have to destroy the front door with explosives looted from Yarmoshuk's body as part of the aforementioned mission, making the building accessible for the rest of the game.

The building is empty, aside from up to three Poltergeists that spawn only during the Radio interference mission. There will be always one that appears once the player approaches the staircase, and two more may spawn if the player stays inside for too long. A Monolith stash is located in the Kindergarten, at the first floor, behind some crates. Random Loners and Mercenaries may explore the area in freeplay.
