Listen up! Sultan wants to see you.
― Knuckles

Knuckles is the henchman of Sultan during the events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Background[]

He has been Sultan's designated hitman for some time.

Appearances[]

Call of Pripyat[]

Knuckles serves as Sultan's bodyguard aboard the Skadovsk, watching over him at all times. He's also the head of Sultan's strike team, which regularly attempts to complicate things for Loners throughout the Zaton area. He is usually one of the first people to greet the player upon their first arrival at the Skadovsk, saying that Sultan wants to see them. Sultan then offers the player a job that involves cooperating with Knuckles and his crew in a night-time ambush of a group of Loners sheltering in another shipwreck in the area. Depending on the player's choices, the Loners either remain at the wreck and set up a counter-ambush, leave the area, or if left unaware will simply be shot in their sleep.

Knuckles - unless the player directly intervenes on his side - will likely die in the close quarters fighting if the Loners are informed about the raid. If the inhabitants leave, he immediately assumes the player was a snitch and attempts to kill him.

If he survives, Knuckles will appear in the subsequent mission Transaction (in which the player is required to interact with him to initiate the quest). He may be killed or can be saved depending on one's actions. If Knuckles also survives the mission, he will patrol the Ranger Station for the rest of the game.

Related missions[]

  • The Hit: Knuckles leads the strike team to attack Spartacus' stalkers in the Shevchenko. Depending on the player's choice, the player can either fight him or assist him.
  • Transaction: If The Hit was completed in the Bandits' favor, then he attends a transaction with Morgan alongside the player and other Bandits.

Trivia[]

  • Like all important characters, Knuckles' corpse remains forever, letting players use it as a stash of sorts.
  • Despite being a Bandit in appearance and in function, Knuckles and his assault team are classified as Loners during the mission The Hit - likely to keep the Loners from attacking them until a specific time.
