The Krug antenna complex is a location in Zaton in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and in Burnt Forest in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Overview[]
Call of Pripyat[]
An old antenna station comprised of a radar array with a circular layout, located in western Zaton. In the middle of the circular array is a small square-shaped building with a lower floor and a broken elevator leading to the basement area. The basement itself is comprised of multiple rooms and connects to the Swamp via a damaged pipe.
Appearances[]
Call of Pripyat[]
The location is prominently featured in Grouse's investigation on the case of missing stalkers, as he calls the player over, telling them he wants to investigate the building after spotting a bloodsucker around. There are two of the mutants inside the building, one on the ground floor and one in the lower level.
Grouse eventually makes his way into the basement, discovering bodies and confirming his suspicions as he and the player discover a bloodsucker lair underneath the complex. After the two escape the basement, Grouse tells the player to speak to Beard regarding the bloodsuckers. The latter eventually suggests using a powerful nerve agent to gas the lair and eliminate the threat. The player must then connect the canister of gas to the complex's aeration system, flooding the basement with deadly gas and killing all of the mutants inside.
After eliminating the lair, random Loners and Bandits may explore the building.
Loot[]
Call of Pripyat[]
- A bottle of Cossacks vodka and a psy-block in the restroom in the northwestern corner of the ground floor.
- A Night Star in the inventory of a dead stalker in the basement, the one behind the grate directly in front of the player, on the other side of the hallway after getting out of the elevator.
- Four RGD-5 grenades and a bottle of vodka under a metal grid in the room with the dead stalkers. The items need to be moved by shooting at them or throwing grenades so that the player may pick them up.
- Four energy drinks and two Vincas in the room past the sleeping bloodsuckers. In additon, there is a Hercules on the other side of the hole leading out to the Swamp.
Stashes[]
Call of Pripyat[]
- A Monolith stash in the hallway in the building's ground floor, in the hallway on the southern side, hidden in electrical equipment.
- Stash containing 20 rounds of 7.62x54mm 7N1; on top of a shelf in the northwestern corner of the building, ground floor.
- Stash containing 120 rounds of 9x39mm PAB-9 and 100 rounds of .45 ACP FMJ; behind a pipe under the stairs in the station's lower level.
- Stash containing two first-aid kits, two bandages, two anabiotics and an antidote; in the pipe leading out to the Swamp, by going the opposite way until the dead end.
Heart of Chornobyl[]
- Vova Cork's stash can be found on the southwest wall of the basement on top of a pipe.

The basement after being filled with gas
- "Krug" (lit. "Circle") was the name given to over 30 circularly disposed antenna array stations built within the Soviet Union. The in-game complex is based on a real-life Krug complex located in the vicinity of the Duga-1 radar array in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The station is believed to have been meant to probe the ionosphere to help find the optimal parameters for the Duga system.
- If the player chose to flood the basement with gas, then on subsequent visits to the basement they will constantly take damage from the moment they step down onto the broken elevator through to the exit in the broken floor. The damage is of chemical type and can be minimized with the use of antidotes or a protective outfit with high chemical protection.
- The basement itself is inaccessible until the player's visit alongside Grouse, due to the elevator being initially locked (it is forced open by Grouse during the mission).
