The Locomotive is a minor location featured in the Cordon featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.
Overview[]
The wreckage of a derailed locomotive, surrounded by anomalies and radiation, is located to the east of the railway embankment.
Appearances[]
Shadow of Chernobyl[]

The locomotive in Shadow of Chernobyl
The wrecked locomotive contains a "stash" belonging to Nimble, at the front of the train on the roof. Nimble uses the information about his "stash" as a bargaining chip to spare his life when the bandits capture him. After rescuing him, he will give the player the coordinates.
Getting onto the roof is tricky, particularly as the anomalies prevent the player from getting too close to the train. However, at the northeast corner of the train, there is a gap near the staircase. It is possible to jump onto the railing and follow it towards the front of the locomotive, and then jump up onto the roof to claim the loot. Alternatively, one can climb onto the railway, with some radioactivity, and jump onto the roof.
Clear Sky[]
The locomotive also appears in Clear Sky. The optional side mission Deliver the "magic" vodka requires the player to retrieve a bottle of vodka from this location. Close to it, there are some anomalies along with an artifact (either Stone Flower or Jellyfish).
Loot[]
Shadow of Chernobyl[]
Nimble's "stash" contains a Sawn off dbl-barrel, 20 rounds of 12x70 Buckshot ammunition, a bandage and a Stone Blood artifact.

Clear Sky[]
The unique mission item "Magic" vodka is found there, in a black backpack below the locomotive. Near the locomotive is also medical supplies, a damaged Chaser 13 with some ammo, and a Fora-12 in perfect condition with 50 9x18mm +P+ rounds.
The following stashes are found in this location:

Trivia[]
- According to Tolik, Nimble exaggerates the contents of his stash in order to appease the bandits who captured him.
