This means that with the use of modifications (although tweaks to the
w_mac10.ltx
might be needed), it can be spawned in-game. It uses a [[AKM-74/2]] model, sounds and anims, and shares most of its stats (although hit_power is set to "50", meaning it would deal 500 damage per shot). |

"It is just an illusion, manufactured in a lab next to the sarcophagus..." The subject matter of this article was cut from the final version of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game and should not be considered canon. |
The MAC10 is a weapon that was partially implemented and included in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Description
Code-wise, the MAC10 is identical to the AKM-74/2, however with a few differences. Most notably, the MAC10 deals an extreme 5000 damage per shot, meaning one can kill anything within a single shot of the weapon. The MAC10 has also higher recoil. As well, the MAC10 is extremely durable, able to fire even when highly damaged without jamming. The weapon takes 33333 shots to fully degrade. The MAC10 can also mount a PSO-1 scope and a silencer by default.
The MAC10 features its own config file, however it is incomplete and the game will likely crash should the player attempt to spawn the MAC10 in-game. As well, the MAC10 has no in-game description, meaning it will show up as "MAC10', just like the weapon's name. There is no existing model nor animation for the weapon, as it resuses model, sounds and animations from the AKM-74/2. The weapon isn't anywhere in-game and must be spawned with the use of modifications.
