The PSZ-9d Duty Armor is an early model of the SKAT-9M Military Armored Suit commissioned by Duty. It is featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Description

This high end bodysuit was created for use in the Zone. Comprises a heavy PSZ-12p bulletproof vest, a built-in compensation suit, and a Sphere-12M Helmet. Provides excellent protection from bullets and shrapnel, while also offering good protection from anomalies and radiation.

Clear Sky

This suit can only be purchased from Mitay after joining Duty, however one is given to the player free of charge by joining Duty and finishing their campaign against Freedom. This suit is essentially the same as the SKAT-9M Military Armored Suit; the main differences are anomaly protection (3 points less than the SKAT-9M Suit) and scratch/bite protection (5 points higher than the SKAT-9M Suit). The differences are negligible, both suits are some of the best in the game, however they are severely limited by their double artifact container limit.

Call of Pripyat

This suit can only be purchased from Hawaiian by siding with Duty. In order for him to stock this suit, the player must do most of the following;

Note that in Call of Pripyat the PSZ-9d actually weighs 15kg and does not include any artifact containers, even after upgrades. It can, however, be modified to carry a total of 80kg of items (max capacity is 70kg by default), weigh only 9kg, and give large boosts to health, stamina, and wound recovery.

Trivia

  • It is unknown why the developers chose this name. This suit can easily be confused with the PSZ-9d Duty Suit, which was renamed to PS5-M "Universal Protection".
  • Maybe it was that the PSZ-9d Duty armour was actually different to the PSZ-12p Duty armour suggesting why the anomaly protection was so low compared to the Bulat in Call of Pripyat, weighs 15 kg and has completly no artifact containers at all.
