For the similary-named Duty outfit, see PSZ-9d Duty armor, see PSZ-9d Duty armor (disambiguation).

This early model of the Duty bodysuit is the Spetsnaz PSZ-9 body armor modified for the Zone. The suit is capable of stopping a rifle bullet, however, this level of protection comes at the cost of its weight, bulkiness and virtually non-existent anomaly protection. The suit cannot be modified with an artifact container, but may be upgraded with a combat support system.
Call of Pripyat in-game description

The PSZ-9d Duty Armor is a protective suit featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Description

It is essentially a Duty variation of the Skat-9 military armoured suit. It features a different camouflage pattern on both the armor and helmet, and features better overall hit protection than the Skat-9 suit, but worse anomaly protection.

Appearances

Clear Sky

This suit can only be purchased from Mitay after joining Duty, however one is given to the player free of charge by joining Duty and finishing their campaign against Freedom. This suit is essentially the same as the Skat-9; the main differences are anomaly and radiation protection (3 points less than the Bulat) and scratch/bite protection (5 points higher than the Bulat). The differences are negligible, both suits are some of the best in the game, however they are somehow severely limited by their double artifact container limit.

Call of Pripyat

It is generally a combat-oriented suit, and as such, provides almost non-existent anomaly protection (akin to the Berill-5M armoured suit). Even worse, it has a single anomaly upgrade which slightly increases the player's resistance against chemical anomalies. This makes the suit among the worst if the player has to go through anomaly fields. However, with the right upgrades, it is the only suit able to reach full armor protection if coupled with a Sphere M12 helmet. Many upgrades are combat-related, easily making the PSZ-9d the best suit to use in combat, featuring better protection than the Exoskeleton.

Upgrades

The four upgrade paths have one of the most extreme protection schemes in the game; no less than three Armor upgrades, two out of which are Tier 3, will make it even better than Exoskeleton in bulletproof resistance. The suit's second best default Impact protection in the game can be upgraded further, and the utility upgrades will result in outstanding +9 health restoration, +11 wound healing and +8 stamina recovery. Finally, the weight can be reduced and carry weight improved for a net gain of 1kg.

Acquisition

This suit can only be purchased from Hawaiian by siding with Duty. In order for him to stock this suit, the player must do all of the following;

After completing all the tasks, it will appear in the player's locker in Yanov, and will regularly appear in Hawaiian's stock.
