The Phantasm is a mutant cut from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Overview[]

The mutant supposedly had the ability to generate images of itself to confuse attackers and allow it to strike while the victim is confused. The mutant was part of a quest to be undertaken in the Swamps (which was also not included in Shadow of Chernobyl) where it had to be killed on behalf of Duty.

Its ability to generate images of itself was eventually utilized by the Psy dog, which appears in the entire trilogy. This mutant was never encoded into the actual data of Shadow of Chernobyl and cannot be re-activated via modifications.
