The Prometheus Movie Theater is a location in Pripyat featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Background[]

The Prometheus Movie Theater served as Pripyat's main theater and cinema room. The building, in the north-eastern part of the city, is located not far from the Polissya hotel (which is outside of the playable area).

The Prometheus Theater's main feature was the Prometheus statue located on the front square. Today, the statue was moved not far from the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, although it is still in front of the theater in-game.

Appearances[]

Call of Pripyat[]

One of the northernmost landmarks of Pripyat, the Theater is commonly occupied by a group of Monolith fighters, although it is not uncommon to see random Loners/Mercenaries taking their place in freeplay. The Theater is a quite large building, although stalkers only explore the front cinema room, the rest of the building being left unexplored. The building is quite large, but largely empty.

The building is only featured in the final mission Evacuation where the evacuation point B28 is located in front of the area, causing the evacuation team to be under attack by Monolith fighters from the theater. During the mission, Monolith fighters will spawn in the lobby, and snipers will occasionally spawn on the rooftop.

Stashes[]

  • Stash containing a GP-25 Koster, three VOG-25 Grenades and 180 rounds of 5.45x39mm FMJ; located in the eastern part of the building, under a sheet of metal in the theater room.
  • Stash containing two OG-7V warheads; underneath the stairs in the western part of the building.
