S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy is a compilation released by GSC Game World which includes ports of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The pack was announced and released by GSC on March 6th, 2024[1]. Though the bundle contains all three games, the games themselves are also sold separately on both consoles[2].
The games feature several improvements suited for console such as reworked controls and UI improvements. GSC also announced[3] that future updates would bring additional graphical enhancements and mod support.
Enhancements and Changes[]
- Game titles and certain location names (e.g. Chornobyl and Prypiat[4]) have been changed to the Ukrainian spelling.
- Several changes have been made to the UI.
- Text font is different and slightly larger.
- Controls have been redefined to accommodate for controllers.
- An item wheel has been added to all games.
- Third Person model is no longer available in Shadows of Chornobyl .
- The camera can no longer be rotated when the player dies.
- The player can reload while aiming down sights.
- Achievements have been added to all games.
- Energy Drinks now use a modern Non Stop design.
In an update released on June 25, 2024[5], mod support was added via mod.io. Modding is restricted to changes made to the animations, textures, models, videos and sounds. Config and script changes are not available, as well as adding any new files.
