List[]

  • Chornobyl Anomalous Zone: Since 2006, the Chornobyl Anomalous Zone has been a magnet for mystery lovers. Some see it as a fragile fairytale to preserve and safeguard, others — a living nightmare meant to be tamed or destroyed.
  • Lesser Zone: Nestled on the outskirts of the Zone, the Lesser Zone is one of its quieter regions. It often serves as a starting point for rookies making their first forays into the Zone from Zalissya. The military tends to overlook their presence as long as the stalkers keep their distance.
  • Garbage: This old graveyard for radioactive equipment is a hotspot for diggers and bandits alike. Diggers sift through the mounds of discarded junk, hoping to uncover valuable parts and artifacts, while bandits exploit those fortunate enough to make a discovery.
  • Chemical Plant: Formerly the headquarters of the renowned Spark group, the Chemical Plant is now the central hub of the Ward's activities in the Zone. Korshunov has the entire area under control, and stalkers and bandits are a rare sight here nowadays, having been replaced by Warden patrols and the occasional Duty soldier.
  • Wild Island: In the center of the region stands a former toxic waste storage facility that is now claimed by Noontide. Lone stalkers avoid routes that go through the island – not because of its toxic fumes or radioactive water, but because of unsettling rumors surrounding its inhabitants.
  • Zaton: In its prime, Zaton was a bustling shipping center. After the disaster, the water receded, leaving ships and boats stranded on sandy shores to rust. Today, new businesses and arrangements have taken root, with the Sultan's bandits and Beard's stalkers vying for control of the area.
    • Skadovsk: The Skadovsk, an old cargo ship grounded since 1986, is the unofficial hub of Zaton. Beard, her captain of sorts, makes sure there's a spot for everyone aboard. The Skadovsk is the perfect place to take a breather, enjoy a drink, and gear up for the next adventure.
  • Swamps: This ominous, seemingly endless marsh rife with dangerous mutants and anomalies both frightens and attracts stalkers. Some dream of finding a new Klondike of Artifacts there, while others want to unravel the mystery of Clear Sky, a local group that vanished without a trace.
  • SIRCAA: Behind impregnable walls and robust security, SIRCAA is an imposing giant of glass and concrete. Within its confines, the most brilliant minds seek to uncover the Zone's mysteries for the betterment of humanity's future. But one question lingers: what kind of future do they have in mind?
  • Cooling Towers: These cooling towers and new power units once embodied the promise of the third stage of the CNPP, a symbol of hope from a bygone era. Now, only echoes resonate within the lofty concrete evaporator towers. Instead of a new reactor, the rusty walls of the Red Fortress bear witness to the last war waged between the stalkers and Monolith.
  • Cement Factory: Constructed to help deal with the aftermath of the first Chornobyl disaster, the Cement Factory and its surroundings now fall under the jurisdiction of Duty. Although its influence has diminished, the group remains steadfast in its struggle against the Zone and everything it begets.
  • Malachite: The area around STC Malachite is the domain of scientists. Unlike their SIRCAA counterparts, who maintain no direct link to the Zone, Malachite scientists eagerly employ the services of stalkers, purchasing artifacts and enlisting their assistance in field experiments.
  • Duga: Persistent rumors about the old over-the-horizon radar station include stories of experiments on the population, bizarre radio interference, and brain-scorching radiation. Now that the route is no longer hindered by anomalous fields, certain daredevils frequently try to explore the enormous antenna. Their attempts are usually thwarted not by mysterious signals but by ordinary bullets fired by IPSF snipers. The military diligently guards the Duga, preventing anyone from discovering its purpose.
  • Rostok: Following the signing of the treaty, Freedom claimed the Rostok Factory as its headquarters. The factory's workshops have evolved into a free trade zone, with the iconic 100 Rads Bar and Arena drawing in gamblers from all over the Zone.
  • Yantar: Standing on the shore of the lake, the Yantar Factory may appear scenic and tranquil. However, stalkers prefer to keep their distance, considering the place highly hazardous, with practically nothing of value left. Even the few scientists who were still keen on investigating the mysterious radiation at the factory eventually left the site, leaving only an empty bunker behind.
  • Burnt Forest: Peering through the recently-grown trees of the Burnt Forest reveals massive military structures and the remnants of deserted residential buildings. A lingering scent of burning perpetually hangs in the air.
  • Cordon: In the past, all roads into the Zone passed through the Cordon. However, with most rookies now opting for Zalissya as their starting point, the Cordon has become a retreat for veterans who are stuck in the past. Although thoroughly explored by stalkers, the Cordon still harbors plenty of dark secrets yet to be uncovered.
  • Red Forest: As radiation enveloped the Lymansk Nature Preserve, it gave rise to the Red Forest. Half of it is bathed in perpetual sunlight, while the other half is cloaked in fog and rain. Nevertheless, both halves of the dead forest are filled with deadly radiation and vicious mutants, making it an almost insurmountable obstacle on the journey to the center of the Zone.
  • Yaniv: Yaniv Railroad Station is a refuge for Degtyarev's Corps, the protectors of the Boundary, a barricade of railcars blocking the way to Prypiat. The Corps tirelessly patrols the area, hunting and apprehending any stalkers who attempt to reach the Center of the Zone.
  • Industrial Zone: The Industrial Zone is teeming with production facilities, military installations, and old labs. This region is a prime destination for stalkers who eagerly delve into the abandoned buildings, scavenging for valuable parts and looking for stashes left by their peers.
  • Jupiter: Being the entrance to Prypiat, the vicinity of Jupiter has always attracted stalkers. A labyrinth of stone walls and ruined roads leads to the now inaccessible plant. No one knows what the Zone decided to hide in it after the last Emmission, but individuals and even entire groups of stalkers, fueled by curiosity, are trying to get inside. To this day, they've still been unsuccessful .
  • Prypiat: Renowned as one of the most perilous areas in the Zone, Prypiat remains under constant guard by the Corps for a reason: the abandoned city harbors a multitude of dangerous secrets. Yet, despite the immense danger, every real stalker dreams of braving the place and uncovering its mysteries.
  • Dead Valley: The way to the Generators is blocked by the forbidding Dead Valley, a desolate expanse haunted by phantoms, constantly shrouded in an enduring grayness. The landscape is strewn with the remnants of destroyed equipment and the corpses of those who have dared to traverse it. Venturing here means signing your own death warrant.
  • CNPP: In the aftermath of the 1986 catastrophe, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant garnered global attention, and the Second Disaster transformed it into the unreachable center of the Zone. Rumor has it that the legendary stalker Strelok managed to explore the station at least once. Nevertheless, even Strelok remains ignorant of the present conditions within the CNPP.
  • Iron Forest: Full of anomalies, downed power lines, and wires that still carry electricity seemingly from nowhere, the Iron Forest was once a relatively popular place. However, after one of the Emissions, it became impossible to get into its territory. Maybe the Zone is preparing something special there, or maybe it's simply luring overly curious stalkers to certain death. Be that as it may, one thing is clear: there is no way there now.
  • Generators: The original purpose of this facility remains shrouded in mystery, but the Generators have now become the beating heart of the Zone, unleashing devastating Emissions.
