Some crafty folk have modified the SGI 5k to work with the Soviet round, which is more common in the Zone, all the while retaining the rifle's ability to use any of the base model's modifications. Uses 5.45x39 mm ammo.

The SGI 5.45 is a unique variant of the SGI-5k that was cut in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

It was modified to fire 5.45x39mm rounds, similarly to the "Tunder" 5.45 from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Although the variant was cut, the SGI 5k in-game is able to be upgraded to change its caliber to 5.45x39mm.
As with all other cut weapon variants of the game, the only remnants of this weapon are its name (st_wpn_sig550_m1) and description (st_wpn_sig550_m1_descr) found in the st_items_weapons.xml file.
According to design documents, it was meant to appear somewhere in the Garbage.
