Scarecrow (Ru. Чучело) is an Expert Loner and a master smuggler appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Background[]
Experienced smuggler. For a long time, plied his trade in Africa and South America. The news of the Chernobyl disaster brought him to Ukraine. In a short while, he managed to smuggle hundreds of stuffed mutants out of the restricted area and earned the nickname "Taxidermist". When not "working" in the Zone, he is a successful trader. Loves fancy suits and posh ties, but prefers Soviet guns[non-game. 1].
He makes profit out of killing mutants, stuffing them and selling them, provoking the ire of the Freedom faction and prompting its leader, Lukash, to issue a hit on him[quote. 1].
Appearances[]
Shadow of Chernobyl[]
Scarecrow is initially found at the Crooked beam in the Army Warehouses, but moves to the Wild Territory after Kruglov's skirmish with the Mercenaries. He is found most of the times in Wolfhound's trailer by the crash site, either sleeping or standing guard. He is also known to occasionally go to the nearby construction site.
One of the highest ranked unique characters, Scarecrow is commonly high on the scoreboard, especially near the end of the game. Scarecrow doesn't give any missions but carries a unique weapon; a Balance IL 86.

Lukash: "Mutant populations are not as numerous; besides, they're living beings too, so we can't permit their annihilation. Some individuals refuse to understand it. An apt illustration is the stalker called Scarecrow. He got his nickname for a reason, selling stuffed mutants. We've warned him before, but all for nothing."
