High end medical set designed for use in The Zone. This medkit includes items used to stop bleeding, treat burns, clean wounds, and treat a variety of different injuries. It also includes anti-radiation pills and medicine.

Appearances

Like the more basic Medkit and Military Medkit, Scientific kits appear in each game. Their effectiveness, however, varies from one game another.

Shadow of Chernobyl

They heal significantly more health than other medkits, and also automatically remove radiation poisoning completely. However, unlike Military kits, they are not as effective in stopping blood loss. Scientific Medkits can be found on the bodies of expert stalkers.

Scientific Medkits are found extremely rarely on Stalkers, most commonly found on deceased Ecologist and Monolith stalkers. They can also be purchased from Sakharov after completing some of his quests, as well as from the Barkeep once the Brain Scorcher has been shut down.

The Scientific first aid kit can be obtained from the following stashes:

Clear Sky

Scientific medkits remain more or less unchanged, though due to their rarity they can often be purchased from Sakharov. Hermit also has 11 scientific medkits for sale. Second trader on Flea Market (the one which sleeps at the day time and wakes up at the night) also may have few scientific medkits to spare.

Call of Pripyat

Unlike in previous games, the Scientific kit is not nearly as useful as it once was. Weighing the same as a regular medkit, their only advantage is the ability to purge a significant amount of radiation from the body - just slightly less than an anti-rad. However, their weight makes them much less attractive for anyone with even a Jellyfish artifact, as a more effective Military Medkit could be carried in the same space.

They can usually only be purchased from medics such as Tremor and Bonesetter, but are found regularly on experts of each faction, particular those in SEVAs, or their rough equivalent.

The player can also buy this medkit from Prof. Hermann in Scientists's Bunker in Yanov.
