Hmm, interesting... All kind of guck is spreading from the center of the Zone - but where does it come from?
― Skinflint
Skinflint (Ru. Скряга) is a member of Freedom in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Background[]
Infamous for his greediness and incompliance, but they say he can get you anything[non-game. 1]. Skinflint is in charge of handling supplies for the Freedom faction, though he also trades with outsiders. It was noted by a random Freedom stalker that Skinflint once made a "slow-witted" individual literally walk through a minefield; apparently, he kept on cursing him when the idiot's arm fell on his head[quote. 1].
Appearances[]
Shadow of Chernobyl[]
He works as his faction's main trader and can be found at the Freedom base in the Army Warehouses, in the central building. He provides a single mission that requires the elimination of all Bloodsuckers in the nearby village (note that this quest can also be taken from Murk), for which he will reward the player with a Crystal artifact upon successful completion of the task.
Unlike other traders, he does not have an unlimited supply of money for trade, meaning the player cannot engage in high-end trading with Skinflint unless they balance it out by buying items from him. This would reflect the meaning of his name "Skinflint", a person who dislikes spending money.
His range of supplies can be extended by completing the mission Destroy the Duty company for Lukash, and further extended by completing Deal with the snitch. He is one of two traders alongside Sakharov to buy mutant body parts from the player (though for less money than the latter), and one of two traders alongside Barkeep to sell the Exoskeleton, although both sell it at the same price of 200 000 RU. He also sells uncommon supplies frequently used by Freedom, such as the GP37. Certain items, such as the UDP Compact, can be bought for cheaper by completing the aforementioned missions.
Trading[]

Related missions[]
- Kill the bloodsuckers in the village – he can hire the player to eliminate the bloodsuckers at the nearby village.
Trivia[]
- Skinflint bears a striking resemblance to Maxim R. Popenker, the author of world.guns.ru.
- He carries several items on his work table including a pair of binoculars, a knife, and an Akm 74/2. Unfortunately, all are impossible to acquire even after being killed.
- Skinflint is configured to wield a SGI-5k by default, but similarly to Petrenko, he can equip any better weapon that is available in his wares, most likely a GP37.
- He should be able to sell 9x19mm PB1s ammunition at all times, but is effectively unable to due to a mismatch in his trader configuration file (he is configured to have PB1s available for sale, but the configuration files only allows him to sell 9x19mm FMJ ammunition despite the latter not being part of his wares).

We had a slow-witted one here once; he pissed everyone off so bad that we made him take a hike on the minefield - naked. You should have heard Skinflint cursing when that dude's arm fell square on his head! That was something special... yeah... So, you got the idea?"
