Snitch (Informator / Информатор) is an experienced Loner, who appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Background

A short bio, that was omitted from final version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl game describes him as follows: ^[1]

Mysterious know-it-all stalker. Trades information in the bar.

Appearances

Shadow of Chernobyl

He earns money by selling information to other Stalkers. The Marked One meets him in the 100 Rads Bar and can pay him for small pieces of information.

Quests

Snitch also hands out one quest, an assassination contract on Master. He will reward Marked One with a Mama's Beads artifact for completing this mission.

Notes

Snitch is infamous in the gaming community for his constant and annoying role of repeating the two quotes repetitively while the player is in the bar:
- "Come here. I've always got something interesting for people like you."
- "My information might well be of use to you, Stalker."

Trivia

Snitch will always say his two lines, even after the player has bought all his information. Because of this, he will still continue to annoy players.
Although the game describes him as a Loner, he wears a bandit's trench coat.
On rare occasions, he will have a Crystal Thorn artifact on his person that you can buy off him. This is convenient, considering that there is a quest from the Barkeep that involves finding this artifact.
