The electronics are the same here, but the emission protection system is intact... What could have caused this?
― Major Degtyarev
Stingray 4: investigate the crash site is a main mission in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
Description[]
Stingray 4: investigate the crash site is one of five missions that serve as the basis for the story line. These missions can be completed in any order. The Stingray 4 helicopter crashed through the roof of the Jupiter plant.
The player needs to go inside the plant. The only opposition there will be Blind dogs, which aren't that much of a threat and can be easily disposed of. As the player approaches the helicopter, the opposition will consist of two Psy dogs - it is best to attack them at range in order not to have them clone, which could make killing them harder.
Degtyarev then investigates the wreck. Similarly to Stingray 5, the electronics system were burned, but the emission protection system was left intact. This will unlock the mission Stingray squad: find the source of the charges which hit the two helicopters, or update it if the player already investigated the Stingray 5 wreckage.
Notes[]
- There is a stash containing an AKM-74/2 and supplies near the crash site. The coordinates are given by completing the Hostage mission.
- The documents of Road to Pripyat are also in the Jupiter plant and both missions can be conducted simultaneously. Consider completing Stingray 1: investigate the crash site before venturing to the factory.
