The weapon was made for warfare in the city. To lessen the weight, some parts were removed or replaced. As a result, there is no way to attach neither a sight nor a grenade launcher under the barrel. But at least it weighs almost half of what it did before.
― In-game description

The Storming SIP is a variant of the SGI 5k that was cut from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Overview[]

The Storming SGI is a lightened version of the SGI 5k, which empty weighs only 2.2 kg, being the lightest automatic weapon and second lightest primary weapon in game, being heavier only than the sawn-off dbl barrel. As well, it has higher durability than a standard SGI. However the Storming SIP cannot mount any attachment.

The weapon was cut from the final version of Shadow of Chernobyl. However, the weapon still features operational code, meaning one could spawn the weapon fully functional with the help of modding.

Trivia[]

  • Due to a developer oversight, the name actually refers to the SIP-t M200 pistol, not to an actual SGI.
