The Monolith’s prayer. It helps me concentrate. It's funny... I have forgotten how I learned to heal or kill, but I still remember the words of the prayer…

The Ninth is a character appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Background[]

A former veteran of the Monolith, The Ninth is caught up in between stalkers and the Zone. He lent a helpful hand to Mastiff, saving him from a nasty encounter with a poltergeist that claimed the lives of his crew - all but one, Max Saturday. While he nursed the stalker to health, using his skills in medicine, he is aware that others might come and kill him due to his past affiliation.

The Ninth does not remember anything from his old life, not how he learned to fight or how to heal people, but he still remembers the Monolith's prayer and recites it to concentrate and focus. Like most Monolithians, he heard its call, which is absent after Strelok's assault on the Common Consciousness.
