Trapper (Also known as "Tutsan") is a former hunter who is found in the basement of Yanov. He used to keep the mutants at bay around Yanov, but while he was out hunting with his partner Fox, they were attacked by two Chimeras. The Chimeras killed Fox, and Trapper managed to wound one of them. He barely made it back to Yanov alive, and he hasnt been out hunting ever since. Feeling his age, he now spends his time training the younger stalkers to be hunters like him.
Call of Pripyat
Trapper offers the player information on how to kill most types of mutants. He also gives the player missions which involve:
- Clearing out a Bloodsucker lair near the northeast swamps of Jupiter.
- Clearing out the Burers to the east of Jupiter.
- Hunting and killing the Chimera that killed Fox, and nearly killed him, in Zaton.
After completing his missions you will earn the Mutant Hunter achievement and Trapper will give you his unique Chaser 13, and stalkers will now leave you ammo for your weapons in your personal lockbox in Yanov. Consequently, the ending slides will state that the area around Yanov has become a safe, mutant-free area for stalkers, despite the increased mutant spawns due to the unlocked achievement.

The (also known as Tutsan) comment comes from the Google translation of his Russian callsign Зверобой (Zveroboi), which actually originates from the Russian title of James Cooper's novel The Deerslayer, a more appropriate title.
