The Trophy AKM 47/2 is a unique weapon featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. Taking the weapon's nomenclature into account, this is an AK-47 re-chambered to use large-caliber rounds.

Appearance & Acquisition

The Trophy AKM 47/2 is a quest item for any Loner squad leader in the Cordon. The Loner squad leader requests this item in exchange for a reward of 1200 RU, although it is highly suggested that this "legendary" lethal weapon is kept for later parts of the game. Should one wish to part with it, however, one could give it to the squad leader that provides this quest and collect the reward from Shilov, though this reward is a paltry sum in exchange for this masterpiece of a weapon. The Trophy AKM 47/2 is located in a fridge in the attic of a building in the car park, which is located near the bridge in the Cordon. It was previously owned by a legendary stalker who was said to be able to sneak anywhere, through any anomaly field and past any enemy. It is said that the previous owner used this weapon to kill mutants that were more dangerous than anyone else has ever seen. The weapon features claw marks on the stock and is said to be worn down, despite being found in perfect condition.

Description

Unlike its real-world counterpart, that fires 7.62x39mm rounds, it is modified to fire high end 7.62x54mm rounds, and comes with a magazine filled with 30 7.62x54mm 7N1 rounds. More of this ammunition is difficult to find or prohibitively expensive to purchase, but thankfully the Trophy AKM 47/2 is also compatible with the cheaper and easier-to-find 7.62x54mm PP rounds. This rifle features higher accuracy than an AKS-74, and it is capable of dealing far more damage in one shot than any other assault rifle, and is bested in damage-per-shot only by the Dragunov models of sniper rifle.

It cannot be upgraded, but it can be repaired by any technician. Like the AKS-74, its firing mode can be toggled between fully automatic- or single-fire. A silencer can be mounted to it, though this does greatly compromise its power. A PSO-1 scope can be mounted to it for long-range sniping. Unlike the AKS-74, the GP-25 Kostyer grenade launcher cannot be mounted to this rifle, as it cannot be modified to hold one.

Trivia

  • The description of the previous owner matches that of Ghost and Guide.
  • The weapon a mirror of the Avtomat Kalashnikov model 1947: the first rifle in the Kalashnikov rifle family. In the game it shares the same texture as the AKS-74.
