Professor Vasiliev was a member of Ecologists faction.
Background
He was working as a scientist alongside Sakharov in the Yantar Mobile Lab, specializing in field research. His last operation was related to the nearby X-16 lab, which he and a Stalker called Ghost breached. However during the mission, Vasiliev lost his sanity and ran away from Ghost, leaving him alone to fend off against a Controller (although he claimed that it was Ghost who has gone insane). The lone scientist soon found himself in the Swamp near a derelict transport chopper, where he met his end at the hands of a few Zombies.
