The Heckler & Koch MP5 9x18 is a unique weapon featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Description
Modified Viper 5, now chambered for the more common 9x18mm rounds. The owner of the weapon did not want anyone to use this gun, so when he was faced with a large number of Bandits, he went to the back of an anomaly filled tunnel and died there. The gun is very rarely found in perfect condition.
Characteristics
The weapon has been refitted to accomodate more widespread 9x18mm rounds. It can be equipped with a silencer.
Acquisition
An image from where the corpse of the loner is found, expressing the large number of anomalies in the tunnel.
The weapon can be found in the corpse of a Loner stalker in the Garbage. Look beyond the trains in the tunnel with filled with anomalies near the entrance to the Agroprom Research Institute. It's at the far end of the tunnel on the left. There is a large number of Vortex anomalies in the tunnel, so getting to the weapon and getting out again is quite an achievement. A player may wish to bring either a high-tier suit or many, many medkits and bandages to survive.
Appearances in other games
Though there is no specific, pre-modified version of the MP5 in either game, both S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat offer a caliber change to 9x18mm as an upgrade option for the MP5.
